The NFL has a long standing tradition of honoring our country’s troops. For over forty five years the NFL has worked closely with the USO including oversea trips and visits to troops and military hospitals. The USAA is the NFL’s official military appreciation sponsor.
Lapel pins and wristbands are some of the NFL/Veteran branded elements available to fans during the month of November. Thirty two of the November football games are designated “Salute to Service” games. “For every point scored during the NFL’s 32 designated Salute to Service games, the league will donate $100 to each of its three core, military non-profit partners — Pat Tillman Foundation, USO and the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP).
